Follow up until the changes have lasted over time

A good meeting is not the same as a solved problem. Keep up the pressure until the measures have been carried out and the change has lasted for several months.

Many parents feel relieved and buoyed up after a good meeting with the school. You feel confident that good measures are under way and that the problem has largely been solved.

That is not always the case in practice.

Be ready to follow up, right until the concrete solutions have been implemented and are having the desired effect. Keep up the pressure until the problems have been solved for several months. Bullying cases and a negative environment usually develop over time, and it often takes time to get good solutions implemented.
